About the event
In spring and fall we accept up to 8 residents for a free work-exchange weekend. Residents will participate in vital homesteading activities (e.g., raking, garden prep, land maintenance, , etc.) while residing in our cozy retreat barn. At the end, we'll celebrate a job well done with a communal feast.
Residencies are tuition-free, making them a great opportunity to explore Sky Meadow and learn new skills in return for much-appreciated help tending this incredible land. No prior gardening experience is necessary, but residents should be comfortable doing active outside work and come ready to get their hands dirty. We'll work together for about 4-6 hours each day, with plenty of breaks and free time to relax, connect and explore.
You will have open access to our Retreat Barn kitchen, which comes well-equipped with stove, oven, fridge and pantry space, cooking utensils and such. We will have some staples on hand…
